These Terms of Use govern your use of Holt, the GLP-1 tracker provided by Ace Studio Teknoloji Limited Şirketi on a freemium basis. By downloading or using Holt, you accept them — so please read them, particularly section 2.
1. Accepting These Terms
Holt is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it. If you don’t agree with these terms, don’t use the app.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Holt.
2. Holt Is Not a Medical Device
This is the most important section on this page, so it isn’t buried and it isn’t in capitals to be ignored.
- Holt is a record, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Everything it shows you is informational.
- We are not your healthcare provider. Using Holt creates no doctor–patient relationship with us, and nothing in the app is medical advice.
- Never change your dose, timing, or medication because of Holt. Those decisions belong to you and the clinician who prescribed your treatment. Talk to them before you change anything.
- What Holt shows you is what you told it. Holt records, calculates, and charts the entries you make. It cannot know that a dose was mistyped or a shot went unlogged, and a wrong entry produces a wrong chart. Please check what you enter.
- Its AI estimates are estimates. Nutrition figures produced from a meal photo are approximations, not measurements — see section 4.
- Holt is not for emergencies. If you think you’re having a medical emergency or a serious reaction to your medication, stop and contact your prescriber or your local emergency services immediately — 112 in Türkiye and across the EU, 911 in the United States. Do not wait, and do not use the app instead.
3. About Reminders
Holt can remind you when a dose is due. That reminder is a convenience, not a safety system.
Notifications fail for reasons outside our control — a phone that’s off or silenced, notifications disabled, low-power mode, iOS reclaiming memory, a time zone change, no network. Please don’t rely on Holt as your only reminder for a prescribed medication, and never treat a missing notification as confirmation that a dose isn’t due.
4. AI Meal Analysis Is an Estimate
Photograph a meal and Holt sends the image to an AI service, which estimates what the food is and what it contains. That estimate is a guess made from a picture.
- It can be wrong, and sometimes badly wrong. A model cannot see the oil in the pan, the sugar in the sauce, or what is underneath what it can see. Portion size read from a photo is approximate by nature.
- It is not a nutritional analysis and carries no guarantee of accuracy or completeness. Where the number matters — counting protein on your clinician’s advice, managing an allergy, or anything else with a consequence — check the label or ask a professional rather than trusting the estimate.
- You can correct it. Anything Holt estimates can be edited, and the figure Holt stores is whatever you decide it is.
- It is not dietary or medical advice, and section 2 applies to it in full.
5. Your Licence to Use Holt
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Holt on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use.
The app, its content, and our trademarks are ours and stay ours. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, translate, or build derivative works from any part of Holt.
6. Your Data and Photos Belong to You
Everything you log in Holt — your injections, weight, side effects, notes, meal photos, and progress photos — is yours. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service for you: to store your entries, sync them to your devices, back them up, and display them back to you. That licence ends when you delete the data.
We claim no other rights over your photos whatsoever. We do not use them in marketing, we do not use them to train models, and your progress photos are never sent to any third party. Meal photos go to an AI provider for one purpose only, as described in our Privacy Policy.
When you delete your account, we delete your data — entries and photos alike — within 30 days.
We may produce aggregated, de-identified statistics that cannot reasonably be linked back to you, and use them to understand how Holt is used and make it better. We do not sell your personal data, and we never use your identifiable data for advertising. Our Privacy Policy sets out the detail.
7. Subscriptions and Billing
Holt is free to download, with an optional subscription that unlocks additional features.
- Apple bills you, not us. Purchases go through your App Store account under Apple’s terms. We never receive your payment details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, until you cancel.
- Cancel in your App Store subscription settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the period you’ve paid for ends.
- Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. This catches people out, so we’re saying it plainly.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms. We can’t issue them ourselves, though we’ll help where we can — and to assess a refund request, we may share your consumption data with Apple.
- If we change the price, we’ll tell you before it applies to you, and you’ll have the chance to cancel first.
- Free trials convert into a paid subscription unless you cancel before they end.
8. Using Holt Responsibly
When you use Holt, you agree not to:
- use it unlawfully, or for anyone other than yourself;
- share your account, or let someone else use it;
- scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the app or our servers;
- probe or interfere with the security of the service, or try to reach other people’s data;
- resell, sublicense, or present Holt as your own product or service.
Breaking these is grounds for us to end your access.
9. Third-Party Services
Holt relies on services that operate under their own terms. Using Holt means those terms apply to that part of the service too:
10. Your Device and Connection
Some features need an active internet connection, over Wi-Fi or your mobile network, and we can’t guarantee everything works when you’re offline.
Away from Wi-Fi, your carrier’s terms still apply and you may be charged for data, including roaming. Those charges are yours; if you’re not the account holder for the device, we assume you have their permission.
Keeping your device secure and charged is your responsibility. We strongly recommend against jailbreaking — removing Apple’s built-in protections exposes your device to malware, puts the health data on it at risk, and may stop Holt working properly.
11. Updates and Ending Access
We’ll update Holt from time to time. System requirements can change, and you may need to install an update to keep using the app. We don’t promise every update will suit every device or iOS version.
You can stop using Holt whenever you like — export your data first if you want to keep it. We may end or suspend your access if you breach these terms, use Holt unlawfully, or put the service or other people at risk, and we may stop offering Holt altogether. When access ends, the rights we granted you end with it and you should delete the app. Sections 2, 4, 6, 12, 13, and 15 survive.
12. No Warranties
Holt is provided as-is. We don’t warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, and we don’t guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any calculation, chart, trend, or reminder it produces.
Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer that can’t be waived under the law of your country.
13. Limits on Our Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost opportunity. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to Holt is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or €50.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and none of it affects your mandatory rights as a consumer.
14. Apple’s Part in This
Holt is distributed through the App Store, and Apple asks us to be clear about the following:
- This agreement is between you and us. Apple is not a party to it.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Holt.
- If Holt fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price if there was one. Beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation.
- We — not Apple — are responsible for addressing any claim about Holt, including product liability, regulatory, and intellectual property claims.
- You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and are not on any US prohibited or restricted party list.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices of İstanbul (Çağlayan) have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, or of your right to bring proceedings there. Consumers in Türkiye may also apply to the Tüketici Hakem Heyeti or the Tüketici Mahkemesi for their district.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when we last did. If a change is material, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Holt after that means you accept the new terms; if you don’t, stop using the app.
