Terms of Use

1. Accepting These Terms

By downloading or using Luce, you agree to these terms, so we recommend reading them in full first. The app, its content, and our trademarks are protected: you may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, translate, or build derivative works from any part of the app. All intellectual property in Luce — trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and the rest — remains ours.

2. Using Luce

We work continuously to keep Luce useful and reliable, and we may update the app or introduce charges for certain features at any time. Any fees will always be made clear to you before they apply.

To deliver the service, the app processes the data you provide. When you use AI features, the media you upload is processed by third-party AI providers to create your results. Keeping your device and your access to the app secure is your responsibility. We strongly recommend against jailbreaking or rooting your device — removing the manufacturer's built-in protections can expose it to malware and security issues, and may stop Luce from working properly.

3. Third-Party Services

Luce relies on third-party services that operate under their own terms. You can review them here:

4. Connectivity and Charges

Some features need an active internet connection — over Wi-Fi or your mobile network — and we can't guarantee full functionality when you're offline or out of data.

If you use Luce outside Wi-Fi, your mobile carrier's terms still apply, and you may be charged for data, including roaming charges when you're outside your home region with data roaming enabled. By using the app you accept responsibility for these charges; if you aren't the account holder for the device, we assume you have their permission.

Some things are simply outside our control — for instance, keeping your device charged. If your battery runs out and you can't reach the service, that isn't something we can be responsible for.

We also depend on third parties for some of the information shown in the app. While we aim to keep everything accurate and current, we can't accept liability for any loss arising from relying solely on the app's functionality.

5. Updates and Ending Access

We may update Luce from time to time. System requirements can change, and you may need to install updates to keep using the app; you agree to accept updates when they're offered. We don't promise that every update will suit your device or operating system version. We may also choose to stop offering the app, or end your access, at any time without notice. Unless we tell you otherwise, when access ends: (a) the rights granted to you under these terms end; and (b) you must stop using the app and delete it from your device if needed.

6. Apple Refund Requests

To assess a refund request, we may share your consumption data with Apple.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Use periodically, so it's worth checking this page now and then. When we make changes, we'll post the updated terms here.
